RIIJK & DiDa at iSport League

17. April 2019

Seven months of playing, €11.500 at stake. This is iSport League, the biggest FIFA project in the Czech Republic of all time. The league consists of 3 separate Steps. Each Step hosts 4 online open qualifiers and each will send 8 best players to Online Final, where the TOP32 will battle for 8 slots in Offline Final. Players will also collect points across the steps and at the end of the season, TOP16 with the most amount of points will be invited to SUPERFINAL in November. The overall winner will be awarded with a cashprize of €3.900.

Our players Stepan “RIIJK” Sobocki and Lukas “DiDa” Cerny are already qualified for Step 1 Online Final, scheduled for Sunday 21.04. As mentioned earlier, TOP8 will qualify for the Offline Final, being played on 28.04 and hosted in Premiere Cinemas Hostivar, Prague. Each Offline Final has it’s separate prizepool of €1.600.

Stepan “RIIJK” Sobocki managed to qualify from the very first open qualifier that consisted of 162 players. He clean sweeped players ImFootball69, RZK eSport.Danour, Pavelec5 and Ivoryjurny. Then, only one match separated him from reaching the TOP8. After close matches, RIIJK won 2-1 over KSNP Young.Dalcounek and qualified himself for the Online Final.

The journey to Online Final was pretty easy for me. I didn’t play with any big names so I managed to get to the TOP8 in my first try. I hope that my form from last weeks will last to Sunday. The goal is obvious – get through to the Offline Final and win!”

Lukas “DiDa” Cerny struggled with an arm injury throughout the first two qualifiers. Luckily, his hand got better and he was able to play with his full potential. He proved himself in the third qualifier, where he went 2-0 against all of his opponents – Lumadano, CzechGarbage, Gabic12cz and Hermik97. With that, he joins RIIJK in the Online Final.

“My journey to Online Final was pretty difficult. A few days before the open qualifiers began, my left hand got infected with tendonitis. That completely ruined my chances in the first two qualifiers where I totally failed to play well. However, after the second qualifier, my hand started to get progressively better and I was able to play the third qualifier almost full recovered from the injury. The third qualifier was a big success and I have clean sweeped all my opponents 2-0. Today, it’s been almost a week since I started with rehabilitation and my arm gets better every day. I strongly believe in both mine and RIIJK’s ability to get to the Offline Final. Let’s hope for a good tournament tree draw and that I won’t meet RIIJK in the very first play-off round.”
