Just nine days before the offline finale in Svitavy, major changes are taking place in our League of Legends team. Shortly after midnight, jungler Václav “Lipánek” Maxa announced that he’s leaving the team.
“I was benched, I won’t play finals,” he said on his Facebook. “I had to find it out myself because no one from the team told me,” he added in the comment section later. Lipanek says he doesn’t feel sad. “The mood in the team was horrible. Probably the worst I’ve seen,” he commented.
Team coach, Michal “Bronko” Šembera, doesn’t want to talk about the situation much, but according to his words, the change is mainly due to internal problems. “It’s not because of game performance but because of the approach to the training and overall behavior in the team. It was a unanimous decision in the team.”
Marek “Vinxen” Gardoň, who played for Team Moops last year, will replace Lipánek. “We’ve played two training blocks with Vinxen, and then decided that he’ll join us. I don’t think it will affect us in Svitavy. Both players are on similar individual level and I believe, we will fight our way to EUM,” added Šembera.
We will see how things go next weekend on March 21st and 22nd. However, for safety reasons due to coronavirus, all the matches will be without the presence of an audience.
