Team Sampi goes to Gamers Assembly 2019

16. April 2019

While already hosting the 20th edition, Gamers Assembly is one of the longest lasting and biggest French events. Our TrackMania players Marek ‘’tween’’ Pacher and Martin ‘’Kappa’’ Krompolc will once again go to Poitiers, France, in hope of winning it again. Each of them managed to win once in the past. Our FIFA19 player Stanislav ‘’WickyBG’’ Chakarov will attend Gamers Assembly for the 1st time ever.

Having such a long and rich history in TrackMania makes Gamers Assembly one of the most prestigious offline events on the calendar. Over 100 TrackMania players will show up in France, some with the hope of winning.

Two of the biggest favorites for the TrackMania tech event are tween and Kappa. They managed to get 1st & 2nd in two previous consecutive offline tournaments – TrackMania World Championship and Gaming WinterFest and are still undefeated to this moment.

Marek ‘’tween’’ Pacher was the first non-French player to win Gamers Assembly back in 2014. Besides that, the Slovakian player has been in the grand final in 2016 and 2017. Martin ‘’Kappa’’ Krompolc is also a player with a rich history at the event. The Czech player won it in 2017 and made it into the grand final back in 2016 and 2018.

Martin ‘’Kappa’’ Krompolc – TrackMania

‘’I’m going to attend Gamers Assembly for the 4th time (already?) and my primary goal is to make it to the grand final once again. The only placement I’m missing is the second position and I wouldn’t be upset if that’s the case this time, although I’d love to regain the title just like I recently did at Gaming WinterFest. Many great and motivated players are going to attend the event this year, so maybe we will see a completely new Gamers Assembly champion.’’

Marek ‘’tween’’ Pacher – TrackMania
‘’I’m feeling very hopeful about my performance this year. While I do prefer longer maps on LANs, my recent performance at Giant Cup was a big confidence boost on maps of slightly lower difficulty. And that seems to be where the tech scene is headed, including Gamers Assembly. My goal is to make the final, which would be an improvement from the slight disappointment that was my Gamers Assembly 2018 performance.’’

The FIFA19 tournament is also stacked with over 70 players attending. Our Bulgarian player Stanislav ‘’WickyBG’’ Chakarov will be in attendance and is looking to make it into a new grand final for Team Sampi.

Stanislav ‘’WickyBG’’ Chakarov – FIFA19:
‘’As always, I will try to win all matches and the whole tournament. We will play on H2H mode and I almost have no games on it, but I will do my best and still my goal is the 1st place.’’
