“The last matches of the group stage are bittersweet for us. We managed to secure a direct advance, but unfortunately, we lost both games,” summarizes the seventh week of Hitpoint Masters #13 team coach, Michal Šembera.
Our players stood against Cyber Gaming and eSuba, but after promising early games, they left both matches with loss. Thanks to two previous wins against Inside Games and the loss of Cyber Gaming against team Flayn eSports, we have a direct advance to offline finale in Svitavy.
In the match against Cyber Gaming, Sampi dominated in the early game. Dreedy with Irelia (6/4/4) spilled the first blood, and the team secured few objectives. The situation changed in the 23rd minute when CG won a fight near Baron. In 33rd minute they attacked our base and ended the match.
The early game of the second match was much calmer, and the first victim fell in 14th minute by the hand of Dread with Corki (8/2/10). It was Dread who showed especially great performance throughout the match. After winning a few clashes, eSuba got the Baron and managed to ace our entire team. A few more exciting team fights later, the match ended in 41st minute.
Even with two losses, Sampi showed everyone that they can be a tough enemy for current number one on the Czech-Slovak scene. “In the next two weeks, we will be 100% focused on the final event. I hope that audience will cheer for us and that we will advance to European Masters,” adds Šembera.
