Riijk finished 3rd at iSport League Offline Final

29. April 2019 iSport Liga hosted it´s first Offline Final in Premiere Cinemas Prague. Eight qualified players collided in a battle for 40.000 CZK and prestigious points for the season ranking. Riijk, the newest addition to our FIFA team, ended up on 3rd place.

The tournament started off with players being divided into two groups of 4 players – A and B. Stepan “Riijk” Sobocki was put into group B, together with Kobby, Rozsi and DRMi10. Format for this stage of the tournament was BO2. His first match was against the outsider DRMi10 and our player proved his favorite status. He defeated his opponent 6:2 and was then ready for the second match against Rozsi. That went also very smoothly with the final score being 4:2 in favour of Riijk. Last opponent of this phase to meet the Sampi player was Kobby. Despite the odds being quite simillar, Riijk was able to play amazingly well and defeated Kobby 5:0. With 3 wins and an overall score of 15:4, Stepan “Riijk” Sobocki won his group, far ahead of his contenders.

Moving into the play-off bracket, which was played in BO3 mode, Riijk was a huge favorite for the final. As a seed 1 from group B, Riijk´s first opponent was seed 4 from group A – VencaSKS. After a convincing performance, Riijk moved into the next round with a 2:0 win over his young opponent. Moving into the semi-final, Riijk was about to play Kobby. A player who had lost against Riijk in the group-stage 0:5. However, surprising everyone, Kobby was the one with an upper hand in this match and got his revenge over Riijk. He was able to win 2-0 and move into the final against T9Laky while putting Riijk into the 3rd place match. Rozsi, a player who also lost against Riijk in the group-stage, was already waiting for our player there. After a 1-1 score, the series had to go to the decider game. 3-3 was the score at the end of the extra play time and the match had to be decided by penalties. Riijk was the better one in this discipline, taking home bronze medal from the event, as well as 5.000 CZK. VOD of the whole event can be found HERE.
